Automobile Technology – Lean Thin Power Packed Hybrid & Electric Automobiles
The current economic situation is forcing the major automobile makers to make cars that cost less to run. To add to that, there has been the Green Movement is becoming a more serious necessity every day.
The Green Movement is to develop technically superior automobiles that will not only be more efficient in running, but will also minimize (and possibly eliminate) harmful exhausts to help the atmosphere survive
Automobile manufacturers are spending millions of dollars in creating Green factories, that also include Green data centers, Green Factories & upgrading their test labs to measure even finer emissions.
The Hybrid & the Electric car have come out as two possible options. Although the electric car is not as common even in these days, the hybrid cars, especially from the small to the mid segment cars, are very popular.
The 2009 mazda 3, for example, meets the ultra-clean Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards in five states in America, including California. To top it all, thanks to the technical developments, the mazda 3 gives a fantastic 22 – 29 miles per gallon mileage!
More mazda 3 reviews will show that the car also won the 2008 Editors’ Most Wanted Award from Inside Line. Technically superior engines, transmissions, brakes & body also brought style to the cars. This applies to the ordinary cars as well as to the sports cars.
Though the sports cars are superior in certain constructions over the normals ones that we use, the underlying technology still tend to push the level of performance over the limit. Speaking for mazda alone, Edmunds.com reported that the Mazda 3 is “Distinguished by taut, chiseled styling and handsome details inside and out”.
Other forms of transport, like the mass commuting trains & heavy electrical transporters, have also been converted to work on dual fuel. Rail transportation in Europe, Japan & US mostly work on Hybrid engines. Ships & submaries also work on dual hybrid power that includes diesel & electricity & sometimes nuclear power.
The latest development is in the aircraft industry where Boeing is developing a dual hybrid power engine for the Boeing 737NG. Delta Airlines is expected to launch their commercial large hybrid aircrafts with these dual power Boeing engines.
Even though the automobile & the transportation industry in general, is looking towards hybrid power packs to drive more efficiency & lower emission waste, there is a lot for them to achieve. Major corporations in all transportation engineeing business are looking to develop lean thin hybrid power machines for the future automobiles.
