The other challenge is downloading a file that can completely corrupt your computer. There is always a possibility of files on BitTorrent affected with Virus, Spyware & bots that could completely destroy your computer.

Vertor is a torrent site that provides users with links to verified torrent files.Vertor is an acronym for VERified TORrents

The other important thing that Vertor does is show a preview of the files that you select before you download.

This is especially helpful if you download  free movies & video files. The Vertor site creates visual snapshots of the contents so that you can preview what you are downloading in the torrent before you actually save it on your computer.

When you search Vertor, it shows you a list of all the available torrents. A small icon shows the type of the file  – a movie file, an image file, a packaged software etc. The image above shows a typical result from a torrent search of “Nicole Kidman”.

When you click any of the file that you wish to download, Vertor shows a preview of still pictures from that movie file.

In the above example, when you click on Birth.avi movie file, a series of images from the video file are shown. You can now verify if that is the video file that you want to download.

The website scans all the files for viruses & spywares. It also suggests that any torrent that asks for could be corrupt or protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) & should not be downloaded (not yet, at least!).
