Create Free 3D Desktop Icons & 3D Desktop Interfaces with PlingMe. PlingMe is a free software to create 3D interfaces to manage files, folders, desktop shortcuts & media with 3D icons.

Plingme is currently available only for Windows compatible computers only. The final PlingMe interfaces can be displayed as pop-up toolbars or as floating panels.

Technically, PlingMe takes a 3D model & attach an interactive function to it. With the function, you can now achieve the same results as clicking any of the desktop icons.

PlingMe doesn’t store programs or documents it stores shortcuts which are just links to the real files, and it wasn’t designed to be a replacement for the desktop. It sits on top of your system.

The software is distributed free of charge. So you can expand your creativity to produce and share your own 3D shapes straight away.

PlingMe comes with a few basic 3D shapes – a cube & a sphere for now. But you can import 3D shapes in the 3DS format & then modify them using PlingMe.

There are several sources for Free 3D shapes where you can download Free 3D models in 3DS format. 3DS files available on Klickers & Amazing3D work fine when imported in PlingMe.
