This is an excellent email tool for small business & home business . Group Mail lets you create newsletters & custom mailers that you can send out in mass.

The free edition is free for all personal use. There are 3 other paid versions of Group Mail as well for enhanced & commercial uses.

The first thing that you need to do upon installation is to create accounts . You must have access to any SMTP servers with a valid login ID & password. SMTP servers are mail servers that send receive & forward emails from the sender to a receiver.

Group Mail lets you configure the email with custom sender’s name , custom Reply-To address & even a custom email newsletter template for the body of the email. You can create your own newsletter layout or use free newsletter templates from the internet.

The other key feature of Group Mail Mass Mailer is its contact database. If you already have a contact list you can upload the information or you can create your custom contact list in Group Mail. It gives you several default options of defining your contacts & you can add more fields in the contact list.

This is important because, while you are sending mass email s, you can filter the contacts based on some of the fields in the contact database. For example, if you have a field called Country in your contact list & you only want to send a particular email to your contacts in Australia, you can filter on the Country Field & eliminate sending emails to any other contacts.

The next important feature of this email is the ability to re-use a sent mail. You can modify emails you have sent earlier to create new email too. Group Mail also lets you schedule email deliveries in batches so that even if you are away from your computer, your customer emails will still go out on time.

Although the free email version is completely useful for most personal uses, there is one annoying limitation. It only lets you send 100 emails at a time. So if you have 5000 contacts you need to work Group Mail 50 times! The paid versions remove this limitation & also lets you import contacts from other email clients.

Group Email should not be used to spam or send unsolicitated emails to internet users.
