Fixing Strut Files with Extension DO – Java Compatible Web Server Files

File Extension DO refer to Java Servelt web files used usually on web servers like IBM Websphere. They are used in conjunction with Struts controller & are used for generating web pages on the fly.

Files with extensions require a web server that supports JSP. They could run on web browsers both on Windows as well as Apple Mac computers.

File Extension DO is also used by Oracle application server to create web pages dynamically, much like a PHP server using .php files.  The .do files could be opened in multiple ways:

  • 4oD Player Playlist
  • DigitalOutrage Hosting Control Panel Info
  • MicroSim PCBoard File With Autorouting Control Information
  • ModelSim Script File
  • Stata Batch Analysis File &
  • Unknown Apple II File (found on Golden Orchard Apple II CD Rom)

When a Windows computer cannot edit or open a DO file, it could be because of incorrect file association. This could be corrected by running a system scan & fixing the registry to recognize File Extension DO & associate them with Java compatible web servers.
