Rosegarden is a Free Music Editing & Music Composition software for composers, musicians, music students, and small studio or home recording environments. It is also a popular audio and MIDI sequencer software for general use.

Chris Cannam and Andy Green of the University of Bath created Rosegarden in 1993 under the guidance of John Ffitch, of Csound fame. Andy created the MIDI sequencer, while Chris created the notation editor.

The Free Music Editing software Rosegarden runs on computers running on Linux OS & requires the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA)sound card drivers.

Rosegarden Free Music Composing & Music Editing software is available in British English, Finnish, French, Japanese and Spanish languages & Czech, Dutch, Italian, Swedish, and Russian language support is on the plan.
