For the Nikon fans, this is a time of excitement mixed with uncertainty & anxiousness. There are rumors of Nikon D700 being launched . This would be a step above the flag ship model Nikon D3 which was released in late 2007.
Although Nikon office has not confirmed any of the rumors, photography authorities like Ken Rockwell seems to have favored the existence of the new Nikon D700.
Most of the news, pictures & specifications of Nikon D700 has been coming in from the Chinese markets. One even showed a picture of a press clip of the Nikon D700!
The specs have been translated from Chinese to English & published on JournalImage.com here , with the references. The rumors turned serious with Nikon authority Ken Rockwell displaying a picture of the new Nikon D700.
The Chinese website that showed the above picture also displayed printed copies of reviews of Nikon D700. Along with that, a picture of the Nikon D700 CMOS sensor. Here is the link to the page .
