Nikon has released the free Nikon D300 firmware update to resolve battery indicator problems.

The D300 A version 1.03 ; B version 1.03 firmware upgrade are released for both Windows & Apple Mac versions. Both the A & the B versions have to be upgraded for the battery indicator issue to be fixed.

Upgrading the Nikon D300 firware A & B to version 1.03 will resolve the problem of blinking battery indicator regardless of the actual battery charge.

Update instructions are given both for Windows & the Apple Mac versions. The important thing is to update both the A & B firmware to version 1.03.
