Send SMS to Mobile Phones from your Internet Browser’s Google Toolbar

free google toolbar for SMS With the tremendous excitement around the new upgraded Firefox 3, the Google Toolbar is even more secure to use. The few security issues in the old Firefox has been fixed, the bug report published by the Mozilla team mentioned.

Now add the Google Toolbar onto this. The free Google Toolbar now adds quick functionalities & productivity tools like automatically web page translations, auto filling web forms & even check for page ranks (as to how Google ranks the page that you are browsing).

The one that I found different, and quite nice actually, was the SMS feature. Now you can send text messages to 42 mobile service providers in the US, Canada & the Virgin Islands.

You need to enter the mobile cell phone number & choose the service provider. The toolbar will combine these two & send the SMS message immediately. Here is a complete list of service providers who you can SMS.

Anyone from outside the US could send SMS messages to people in US free now. But if you are charged for receiving text messages, you will have to pay the usual SMS rates.
