Use Drop.io to Share Files, Collaborate, Transfer Files, Audio Conference & much more

Drop.io is an online tool to store and share anything (pictures, video, audio, docs, etc) privately, without accounts, personal registration, or email addresses. You can also store & access the stored data very simply in multiple ways. You can use an internet browser, you can email, you can send a simple mms or you can even store & access the files through phone or fax.

Drop.io also works like a social network, except that the network will be created by you. It gives you complete control on what to share & who to share with. The free account will let you store & exchange 100 MB of data.

So drop.io is a secured collaboration & socialization tool for your personal network. When you add a file (be it music or video or even your Microsoft word document), drio.io creates an unique ID. You can also choose the ID. If you are a free user, your ID has to be of at least 7 characters, and it takes the form of drop.io/<your unique ID>. Paid users have the convenience of larger online storage & a much shorter URL.

You can also post a file from your mobile devices, telephones & mms simply by sending an email or MMS to new@drop.io. Drop.io will create the online file for you & send you the ID (like drio.io/<another ID> to the same device.

And why stop there. Though I have not used the phone or the fax function , you can use practically any device that can communicate. The fact that by collaborating, any file that you have dropped could be modified by someone in your network (provided you have granted them access). Once someone updates your files, an email is sent out to alert everyone of a new version!

Drop.io does not need you to create a profile or an account. It could be completely anonymous. But for security of your data, you could put access restrictions on the files - like passwords or even expiry dates. And drop.io tracks all the IPs that are using the service too as an added precaution to prevent & resolve hacks.

Drop.io is the only tool that allows you to share, collaborate, transfer & even track your online audio, video & data files in so many different ways. As long as you have a computer, or a cell phone, or a land line or a fax machine, you can use drop.io.
