This is an interesting & funny but sadly true depiction of how technology has crept into our lives. It shows how a valuable tool like a cell phone, that people can no longer live without, is often used to the extent of destroying lives.

Renny Gleeson, a social media & advertising expert, picks up a simple tool, a cell phone is so deeply entrenched in our daily life. So much so that it overcomes our basic instincts of love, respect & social life.

You can watch this 3 minute video from TED, where Renny shows that the experience we’re having right now is less interesting than what we’ll tweet about it later.

He goes to the extent of showing through a funny set of pictures how people of various ages & social levels are too busy being on cell phones & Twitter, that they miss out on the present. The real life takes on a back seat to how that life can be shown to others.
